COUNSELING SERVICES

HOME PAGE

Counseling Services is comprised of three full-time Master's level psychotherapists, one of whom is bi-lingual, and two of whom are Art Therapists.

The Counseling Program provides individual, couples, family and group therapy for sexual assault/abuse survivors and their loved ones. Additional services provided by Counseling Services include: crisis intervention, advocacy, accompaniment through the judicial system, assessment, case management and information and referral for survivors and their loved ones.

The therapists address the effects of sexual assault/abuse and facilitate the resolution of the trauma inflicted by the sexual violence experienced.

Counseling services expects to serve approximately 300 individuals annually whose lives have been disrupted because of sexual violence. To meet the needs of those survivors and their loved ones, we have expanded Counseling Services to include both brief and long-term counseling, are increasing group therapy services and have implemented an intake process that will get clients connected to services more quickly.
